How to play Jesse Card Game

Jesse
This game was developed for the Jesse Box cards, and it’s our favourite game. It’s a real game of skill, ideal for players with devious minds.
Number of Players: 2 - 4 players for younger children; 2 – 8 for older children (more patience needed).
Age Range: 6+

Instructions:
Use 24 cards (6 cards from each of the 4 stories), deal out the cards to see who goes first. The first person to get a Creation card from the Old Testament pack or a Nativity card from the New Testament pack goes first. Then it follows clockwise, so if the first person is Creation, the second is Noah’s Ark etc.
OT pack – 1st Creation; 2nd Noah’s Ark; 3rd Exodus; 4th David & Goliath
NT pack – 1st Nativity; 2nd Wedding Feast of Cana; 3rd Holy Week; 4th Pentecost
This follows the Salvation History timeline.
Collect all the cards back together, shuffle and then place face up in a grid of 30 spaces on the table, 2 rows of 6 then a blank space row, then another two rows of 6.

Grid of 24 cards set up for 2 – 4 players
The object of the game is to get all the cards from your story in the correct sequence, left to right, in any row. To check the sequence of the story, it follows the colours of the rainbow Red , orange , yellow , green , blue , purple.
Each player has a turn of 5-10 moves. He can move any card into a blank space vertically or horizontally, but not diagonally. He must remain within the 30 space grid. You adjust the difficulty of the game by the number of moves you allow in a turn, 5 being the most difficult and 10 being the easiest. It’s up to you, you can have the same number of moves per person or vary it depending on ability. Set and fix the number of moves per player before the game starts.
For 5+ players, if you have both Old and New Testament packs, add 6 more cards ( one more story) , and 6 more spaces on the grid. For 6-8 players add stories and spaces accordingly.
If you have one pack of cards and 6 or 8 players, two players can form a team and they should complete two rows of the same story to win. Add 1 story (6 cards) and 1 row (6 spaces) per additional player.

The player who wins can tell their story.
